RANKINGS. Andreescu beats Bouchard to make history. Naomi Osaka next target

Bianca is rising fast in the rankings

Andreescu Bouchard Osaka

Bianca Andreescu keeps on rising in the rankings. The Canadian no.1 has been hitting the headlines pretty hard with her fantastic run in 2019 especially after winning the titles in Indian Wells, Toronto and at the US Open.

Bianca is about to play the WTA finals in Shenzhen after taking some time off. However, she got some good news in the rankings since she got a full advantage of Svitolina losing 4 positions after she lost in the opener in Moscow. Therefore, Bianca went up 1 place in the rankings to be the new world no.4 to become the Canadian with the highest ranking in history on the WTA tour. Previously, it was Genie Bouchard the Canadian with the best rank on the WTA tour when she was ranked no.5.

Naomi Osaka next?

Bianca is now getting ready for the WTA Finals in Shenzhen with the only target of winning the competition. She will have fierce opponents to overcome and one of the toughest will be Naomi Osaka that is the “next in line” for Bianca in the rankings. The Japanese is also the last player that defeated Andreescu in the quarters in Beijing.

This rivalry is going to be fun.
