Federer ready to play the Davis Cup tie in Amsterdam

Time to get back to business for the world no.1 after his shocking defeat at the hands of Berdych at the US Open.

Roger’s participation is very important for his team and once again Federer shows how important is his nation as he didn’t commit to play this tie after the horrible loss they had against the US when Roger lost his 2 matches (single and doubles)

The event is the relegation playoff against Netherlands. On one side we have world no.1 Roger Federer and world no.17 Stanislas Wawrinka, on the other we have world no.50 Robin Haase and world no.81 Igor Sijgling. It is quite clear that the Swiss Team has an edge in here.

The tie will be played on outdoors clay courts and the reward is to stay in the top tier 16-nation world group.
