Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello will get married this weekend. The couple has been dating since 2005. Throughout their relationship, the two have maintained a high level of privacy. They rarely reveal details of their marital affairs. Xisca, despite dating a highly recognizable celebrity, keeps a low profile. She does not have social media accounts. The couple also decided to have a private intimate wedding ceremony, opting for one of the most secure locations in Spain.

The couple will hold their wedding ceremony on 19th October. The venue will at the La Fortaleza estate in Mallorca. The estate belongs to British politician and banker Lord James Lupton. He bought the property for 40 million euros in 2011. The property became the most expensive in Spain after the acquisition. The estate is a fortress designed in the seventeenth century to protect against attacks from enemies by sea. It is has an unique hexagonal shape and features some beautiful sculptures and gardens designed by various artists through its’ many years of existence. The property is 87,000 square feet and has swimming pools and a helipad.

Security at Nadal’s wedding

For Nadal’s wedding, guests will access the property by coach. Xisca and her bridal party will be staying on the estate to prepare for the ceremony. They will stay in the six other houses that surround the main building. The houses have 17 bedrooms. A private security firm will provide security for the ceremony. The public will not gain access to the venue and only invited guests will attend. Drones and aircraft do not have permission to fly over the La Fortaleza on the wedding day. In addition to those measures, guests will not have their phones during the ceremony while employees catering for the event have signed non-disclosure agreements.

Gareth Bale and Rudy Fernández also got married at La Fortaleza

Some famous celebrities have held their weddings at La Fortaleza in the past. Real Madrid football player Gareth Bale wed his wife Emma Rhys-Jones at the estate in June this year. Basketball player Rudy Fernandez and his wife Helena Lindes also tied the knot at the venue in 2015. Holding an event at the venue could cost up to 40,000 euros per day. Nadal and Xisca will be married by noon on Saturday. They will then hold a dinner for their guests on the estate. Among the guests expected are Cristiano Ronaldo and pop singer Enrique Iglesias.
