However, it didn’t seem that they used to enjoy a great relationship. Last year, Sascha was particularly harsh when he lost to Tsitsipas at the Rogers Cup when refusing to acknowledge the Greek for the win. Instead, Sascha said that he lost the match only because he played extremely badly.

“[I am] Very happy to be in the semis and how I am playing. Tomorrow it will be a very interesting match against Stefanos; spectators are looking forward to it and me too.
He’s my Laver Cup teammate. We got a little closer at the Laver Cup, so we understand each other very well now.”
