Nadal will not play in Cincinnati – 2012 Western and Southern Open

Terrible stuff for Rafa that is still unable to play a tournament.

After a shocking defeat at the hands of Rosol in the second round in Wimbledon, Rafa had to cancel his exhibition with Djokovic, he pulled out from the Olympic Games and the Rogers Cup, and now he has to withdraw also Cincinnati.

The Spanish superstar left a message on Facebook “Hi all, another message to announce something that definitely doesn’t make me happy, but unfortunately I won’t be competing at the tournament in Cincinnati next week. I am still not ready to play. I have many fans in Cincy and unforgettable moments such as 2008. I am continuing with my recup and practice. Thanks!”

Rafa will not lose many points as he reached only the quarters last year in Cincinnati (180pts). Therefore the Spaniard will retain his 3rd place because Murray has just withdrawn from the Rogers Cup and he has to defend last year’s title in Cincinnati (so he can’t add points to his ranking).

We hope to see Rafa back as soon as possible!
