Naomi Osaka is hitting headlines in the tennis world again. This time around, she was asked for a follow-up regarding the possibility of getting a new coach, weeks after her announcement that she will no longer be coached by Jermaine Jenkins who also happens to be the second coach she will be splitting with this year.

Naomi’s history and relationship with her coaches have always been an interesting topic for many tennis fans. Just a few weeks ago, she parted with coach Jermaine whom she hired earlier this year after parting with Sascha Bajin a month before. At the moment, she is coached by her father, Leonard Francois who taught her tennis at the age of 3.

Naomi is currently playing at the 2019 China Open which is scheduled from September 30 to October 6 and held at the National Tennis Center in Beijing.

When asked about her current coaching situation, whether she was going to end the season with just her father or was she in touch with other people, this is what she had to say, “No, I mean, I’m ending it with my dad. Like, it’s pretty good so far. Yeah, I feel like it would be too rushed to, like, bring someone on right now anyway. It’s pretty much gearing towards the end, so…”

She was also asked about her plans regarding the next season. Unfortunately, she didn’t give any answer other the response written above. From the time being, fans have no choice but to wait until the 2019 China Open ends.
