After winning the title in Montreal, the Romanian legend has now a sizeable lead over the world no.2 Caroline Wozniacki (1,926pts). This means that almost for sure Simona will stay at the top of the rankings at least for 1 month and a half.

In fact, even if she reached the final in Cincinnati last year, she has virtually no points to defend at the US Open and in Wuhan where she crashed I the opener on both occasions.
