Sascha Zverev had a rather tough year in 2019. After winning the ATP finals in 2018, the German sensation struggled to find some continuity in his results also because he was dealing with some tricky issues off court. Sascha’s attention was caught by a nasty lawsuit with his now-former agent Patricio Apey and some personal problems with his girlfriend Olya Sharypova.
Sascha Zverev and Olya Sharypova
Sascha has been dating Olya for almost one year as the Russian hit the headlines when she was seen with the German in China last year. The couple split for a brief period of time earlier in the year, but Olya reappeared in Sascha’s box in Stuttgart (June). Therefore, Sascha and Olya are “officially” back and the Russian beauty followed him again in Beijing, where they appeared together at the players’ party.
Zverev, the Laver Cup and Team 8
After such a tough 2019, things seemed to have turned for the better for Sascha after he won the decisive point for Team Europe at the recent Laver’s Cup. The German has also officialized his partnership with Federer’s management company Team 8. With Olya back with him, things look to be as good as ever.
