Simona Halep plays her best tennis since the French Open in Montreal to beat Caroline Garcia in straight sets and reach the semifinal.

The match

Simona and Caroline went toe to toe for the most of the first set. The world no.1 started to play really amazing tennis from the 8^th game to concede just 5 points in the following 4 games and grab the first set (7-5).

The second set was completely different than the opener. In fact, Halep conquered 6 consecutive games after dropping the opening game before winning the match 7-5 6-1.
