Mihaela Buzarnescu has been struggling with injuries for her entire life.
Unfortunately, the talented Romanian had a big one probably during the most important moment of her career: after she won the tournament in San Jose and when she was playing at her best.
In fact, Mihaela was engaged in a real battle against Elina Svitolina in Toronto when she injured her ankle so severely that she had to leave the court on a wheelchair.
The good and the bad news
After she went for all sorts of tests, Mihaela broke some good and bad news for her fans as her injury is not so terrible, but since she broke a ligament, she will have to skip the rest of the North American season.
Buzarnescu is planning to get back to competitions for the Asian swing.
Good luck!
Good news: no bones broken ðŸ‘
Bad news: one ligament broken, 2 stretched 👎
Very sad I won’t get to play US Open Series but I’ll try my best to recover for the Asian Tour!
Thank you for all the support I’ll keep you posted 🙠pic.twitter.com/D9tn7csuGw— Mihaela Buzarnescu (@MikiBuzarnescu) August 10, 2018
