Denis Shapovalov is one of the most exciting youngsters around.
The Canadian is currently playing the Rogers Cup where he is trying to have another great run after he reached the semifinal last year in Montreal.
Denis won his first match with authority after he dispatched Chardy in straight sets (6-1 6-4). After the contest, he explained that serving well was the key to get to the 2nd round to elaborate also on who is helping him to constantly improve.

Denis commented
“I was serving really well today. I’ve been working a lot with my mom on my serve, so today it shows huge improvement on it.
She does a really good job of being my mom off court and giving me my space and loving me. While on the court she’s tough and she keeps me disciplined and she’s my coach. She’s not my mom on court.”
