Mysterious stuff in Canada,

In Montreal, Serena Williams was considered a “huge unseeded disturbance” in the draw, and she was poised to face Angelique Kerber already in the 2^nd round in what would have been a reply of the Wimbledon final. Unfortunately, Serena announced her withdrawal for (“mysterious”) personal reasons. Tatjana Maria will take her place in the draw.

Serena was shocked in San Jose a few days ago where she suffered from the worst defeat in her career (in terms of games) at the hands of Jo Konta (6-1 6-0).

The American legend is still scheduled to play in Cincinnati (12^th of August), but at this point everything is cloudy!
