Was this the tantrum of the year?
Benoit Pare was leading firmly 6-3 2-1 in his 1st round again Marcos Baghdatis before losing his cool completely in the decider. In fact, after the match went to the 3rd set, Benoit lost 5 consecutive games (from 2-1 to 2-6), and on the way, he had a rather violent tantrum.
What happened
After falling on court in the 7th game of the decider (2-5), Paire started his tantrum that ended with the demolition of 3 rackets and the refusal to play the match point. Eventually, the Frenchman lost 6-3 3-6 6-2.
Of course, Paire was booed by the fans, and he replied sending kisses. Benoit’s stuff!
