Novak Djokovic and Marian Vajda are back for good.

The former world no.1 was struggling for 15 months and it seemed as there was no way out for him. Nole fired his entire coaching team and his relationship with the controversial “love guru” Pepe Imaz was getting stronger and stronger.  Besides his physical problems, it seemed that Nole was too much focused on “giving love” around instead of trying to win matches.

Eventually, Nole decided to partner again with his good friend and longtime coach Mara Vajda and the results were obvious with the Serbian winning his 4th Wimbledon.

Why Vajda wanted Pepe Imaz out of Djokovic’s team

During a recent interview with the Dennik Sport, Marian commented

“Yes, I wanted him to quit (the partnership with Imaz), although that was not my primary condition.

The first condition was to see Novak personally. The other was to set specific rules and plans for the coming months. Already in Barcelona, we had a complete team at our disposal, we moved and talked.

We wanted other people around him not to intervene as much as it used to be before, we told him that we would not be pleased if it was again. We did not want to treat tennis as a philosophy.”
