Marco Cecchinato is having a fantastic year!

The Italian has won his maiden title in April in Budapest coming straight from the qualifications to then surprise the world after reaching the semifinal at the Roland Garros.

Cecchinato wasn’t done with that, and on Sunday he won his second career title in Umag after defeating the world no.72 Guido Pella in straight sets 6-2 7-6 (4).

It’s the best moment of my life. CECCHINATO

Soon after the match, Marco commented

“I think it’s the best moment of my life. This year I’ve won two titles, I made the semi-finals at Roland Garros. I feel good because tomorrow I’ll be No. 22 in the ATP Rankings. I’m very happy because I’m playing very, very well.”

Cecchinato started the season as world no.109.

Next step: Hamburg where he will face Gael Monfils in the 1st round.
