It was just a battle. BOUCHARD

Soon after the match, Genie commented

“It was just a battle. Even though she hasn’t played a lot this year, she has still been a Top 10 player and clay is her best surface, and she’s playing in Switzerland at home. All of the conditions were against me, so I just had to battle.”

Next vs. Golubic

Genie will face the world no.110 Viktorja Golubic in the 2nd round. The head to head is 1-0 for the Swiss.
