Serena Williams amazes by reaching the Wimbledon final

Serena Williams was hoping to make a successful come back to tennis after her pregnancy at the Australian Open. That didn’t really happen as the tennis legend was struggling to regain her form. However, Serena is Serena for a reason, and she had to just wait for a couple of slams to find herself in the Wimbledon final.

Even if the American is not at her full form, she has managed to get to the final act of the Championships after dropping just 1 set during the tournament.

The semifinal

There was not much of a contest in her semifinal against the world no.13 Julia Goerges as Serena grabbed a strong 5-2 lead in both sets. The only “drama” was when the American failed to serve out the match while leading 6-2 5-3, but then she managed to break the German in the following game at love to win the contest 6-2 6-4.

I have nothing to lose. SERENA

Soon after the match, the American commented

“It’s crazy. I don’t even know how to feel because I literally didn’t think I’d do this well in my fourth tournament back. I don’t have anything to lose, and I feel I can play so free. That’s what I’m doing.

This is not inevitable for me; I had a really tough delivery and multiple surgeries and almost didn’t make it to be honest. I couldn’t even walk to my mailbox, so it’s definitely not normal for me to be in a Wimbledon final.

I’m enjoying every moment.”

The final vs. Kerber

Serena will face Angelique Kerber in the final that is going to be a repetition of the 2016 Wimbledon final when the American defeated Angelique 7-5 6-3.

The head to head is 6-2 for Serena, but this time Angelique may have a shot at the title.

Game on.
