Why Kyrgios was upset after losing to Nishikori

A couple of days ago, Marion Bartoli was extremely vocal saying that right now Nick Kyrgios is not fit to win a slam because she can’t see him keep his focus for 7 consecutive matches.

Eventually, the 2013 Wimbledon champion was right as Nick disappeared against Kei Nishikori in the 3rd round to lose 6-1 7-6 (3) 6-4 after being broken 4 times.

Why Kyrgios was upset

After the match, the Australian shared his emotions to say

“I just never settled. Like, I just didn’t feel. I don’t know. I never felt settled.

I was struggling. I didn’t serve well. I didn’t feel good from the ground. I almost couldn’t move. My footwork was terrible. Just a bad day, I guess.

I mean, I’m disappointed. Like I’m pissed off, of course. Like I wanted to do well. Not much I can do really. Yeah, I mean, itis disappointing. It is what it is right now,”

As Bartoli said, you need to focus for 7 consecutive games, otherwise, you don’t win a slam.
