Tsitsipas makes history in Wimbledon

At 19 years of age, Stefanos Tsitsipas has already achieved something important.

In fact, the youngster is the first Greek to reach the second week of a slam in the open era after he dismissed the world no.133 Thomas Fabbiano in straight sets 6-2 6-1 6-4.

It’s amazing. TSITSPAS

Soon after the match, Stefanos commented

“It’s an amazing feeling, and I feel very proud that I represent Greece and that all of my hard work has paid off.

There is so much satisfaction. It’s just such a nice feeling to be the first from your country to do so, so it’s amazing.

I just need to stay grounded. My goals are far away from what I have set for this year, and I just need to stay grounded and keep on doing the work I have been doing all this year.”

Next vs. Isner

Stefanos will face the world no.10 John Isner in the 4th round. The head to head is 1-0 for Isner.
