Naomi Osaka seems to be completely revitalized after winning her 4th career in her home town (Osaka). The Japanese sensation has also taken the decision to split with her now-former coach Jermaine Jenkins after a rather disappointing stint.

Naomi is currently in Beijing where she will try to get the points to qualify for the WTA finals in Shenzhen. Osaka needs 519 points to be sure to qualify for the season’s finale. That means that she has to reach the final (650 points) to have a sure ticket for Shenzhen.

Osaka about qualifying for Shenzhen

During a recent interview in Beijing, Naomi commented:

“I would really want to make the Finals. I kind of organized the next month of my schedule based around it. Definitely that’s my goal.

But at the same time, I don’t want to think too much into the future. I have to think about the matches that I have to play here. I guess it’s like one of those things where time will tell. I just have to focus on the people I’m playing at this tournament.”
