Roger Federer has no problems in cruising to the Wimbledon 3rd round after dismissing the world no.73 Lukas Lacko in straight sets.

Roger was in complete control of the match to break his opponent 5 times without conceding a single break point. Roger dropped just 9 points on serve (0 in the second set and 2 in the third). The final score was 6-4 6-4 6-1 with Roger winning 31 points than his opponent (91 vs. 60).

About his serve. FEDERER

During the post-match interview, Roger shared his thoughts about what’s important to have a good service game. The Swiss legend commented

“I think what’s important when you want to serve well is your point-for-point mentality, saying maybe the first point is as important as a break point, so the concentration is the same. Trying to remember all the things you’ve done throughout the entire match, what has worked, what hasn’t worked.

I don’t need that much time, especially after a short previous rally to go through all of that. Just reassess everything very quickly. I think I can do that very good. Then it’s more than just serving. It’s also first-strike tennis, serve and first shot, serve and taking the right decisions as you go along, in the rallies as well. As the match went on, I was able to do that better and better.”

Next vs. Struff

Roger will face the world no.67 Jan-Lennard Struff in the 3rd round. The head to head is 2-0 for Roger that has defeated the German this year in Melbourne in straight sets 6-4 6-4 7-6(4).

Struff has won an impossible match against Karlovic after recovering a 0-2 set deficit in almost 4 hours. The final score was 6-7 (5) 3-6 7-6 (4) 7-6 (4) 13-11.
