Sascha Zverev starts his Wimbledon campaign after playing rather solid tennis against James Duckworth.
The German impressed for not conceding any break point during the entire match. In the first set, Sascha dropped only 2 points on his serve; however, the Australian managed to hold every game until the 11th. That was enough for the German to win the set (7-5) and lay the foundations for an easy match as James disappeared in the last 2 sets to win just 2 games. The final score was 7-5 6-2 6-0.
Zverev scored 42 points more than his opponent (96 vs. 54).
Next vs. Taylor Fritz
Sascha will face Taylor Fritz in the second round. The head to head is 1-0 for the German.
