Murray still happy after losing in straight sets to Edmund

Andy Murray keeps on trying to get back to his form, but as expected that is a long process.

The former world no.1 decided to compete in Eastbourne to test his fitness. After a fantastic 1st round when he defeated Stan Wawrinka 6-1 6-3, the Brit had to capitulate to his friend and compatriot Kyle Edmund in the 2nd round (6-4 6-4).

After the match, Andy said he was still optimistic for his comeback for various reasons to comment

“There is no danger of me injuring my hip more than any other stage. Two weeks ago I practiced with Kyle, and I didn’t win a game. I’ve made decent progress in the past couple of weeks and have been somewhat competitive in the matches I have played.

So I don’t want to go out there just to play, I want to compete properly. If I’m in the right place, physically feel ready, and mentally in the right place, then I’ll go for it.”

If this is Andy’s opinion and if he doesn’t risk any injury, why not giving a shot at the Championships?
