Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka were drawn to play the 1st round in Eastbourne after both accepted a wildcard. Eventually, this blockbuster match was pretty quick Andy winning 6-1 6-3 in just 77 minutes.

Even if Andy wasn’t perfect in the second set, he was very pleased with how things went to comment
“I’m very happy to get the win. I thought I played well in the first set, the second set was a bit patchy but when you’ve not played for the best part of the year, trying to close out the match against a player like Stan was tough, but I was happy to get it done.”
Next vs. Edmund
Murray will have another tough test in the second round as he will face Kyle Edmund. The head to head is 2-0 for Andy that commented as follows
“Kyle’s been fantastic.Not just this year, but at the end of last year. He’s a great player, and he’s improving all the time.
He’s getting close to the top of the game which is a credit to him, so I’m expecting a tough one, and I’ll try my best.”
