Another day, another tricky win.

Interesting enough Roger Federer is not playing his best tennis in what is probably the tournament he has been enjoying the most in his tremendous career.

In fact, on Thursday, the Swiss Maestro beat Benoit Paire after saving 2 match points; on Friday Roger had to struggle again against the world no.60 Matthew Ebden.

The match

Roger was extremely sharp on his serve in the first set to drop only 4 points before winning the opener at the tiebreak.

Like the previous day against Paire, Roger’s serve became unstable in the second set, and the world no.1 was broken twice; the Maestro found himself trailing on a 3-5 scoreline. From that moment, the Swiss became “perfect” to win the following 4 games after dropping only 4 points in total. The final score was 7-6 (2) 7-5.

The semis vs. Kudla

Roger will face the world no.109 Denis Kudla in the semifinal. The head to head is 1-0 for Roger, but he needs to definitely raise his game to reach the final.
