RANKINGS. Simona Halep increases advantage over Wozniacki

Simona Halep consolidates her rankings after a fabulous fortnight that ended with her Roland Garros title.

Besides winning her first major, the world no.1 can also smile for consolidating her rank as now she has more than 800pts more than the world no.2 Caroline Wozniacki.

Of course, Simona wasn’t the only significant “gainer” after the French Open. Let’s see the most significant changes.

Stephens

Sloane can’t smile much after she was unable to win the French Open final after being 1 set and 1 break up. However, she can be still happy for what she has achieved in France and for the fact that after her recent run she is now ranked no.4 (career high).

Ostapenko

Jelena lost a massive amount of points after she wasn’t able to defend her Roland Garros title. Instead, she crashed out in the first round to lose 7 places and be ranked no.12.

Osaka

Naomi lost in the in the 3rd round in Paris at the hands of Madison Keys. After this performance, she goes up 2 places to be ranked no.18 (career high).
