I would love to have 20 slams like Federer, but…NADAL

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer share probably the most intriguing rivalry in tennis history.

The King of Clay and the Swiss have won 37 grand slam titles combined, and in the last stage of their incredible career, they have both started to win again.

Rafa and Roger have conquered the last 6 slams, and the Swiss is leading the Mallorcan 20-17 in terms of majors in a race that seems to be never-ending.

I would love to have 20 slams like Federer, but…NADAL

During the press conference following his 11th French Open title, Rafa was asked about his chances to catch Roger.

Rafa had a fantastic reply

“Of course, I have ambition. But I can’t always be thinking of more.”

You can’t be frustrated if somebody has more money than you if somebody has a bigger house than you if somebody has more Grand Slams than you.

I’ve never been crazy about this kind of stuff. You can’t live with that feeling. You have to do your way.

I’d love to have 20 like Roger in the future or more, but it is not something in my mind. I know I’ve had an amazing career, so I want to keep fighting for these things.”

This is what a champion is.
