The tennis world (and beyond) is celebrating Simona Halep’s first slam title after the Romanian failed to win a major after being the runner-up on 2 occasions at the Roland Garros (2014 and 2017) and once at the Australian Open (2018). Finally, Simona did it to confirm also her status as the deserving world no.1.

“She’s incredibly passionate about her sport, very professional, very respectful to fellow players whether she wins or loses.
She treats losses and wins with the same amount of respect to everybody. I think that’s rare as an athlete and a great quality in a person.”
