Rafael Nadal wins another match in straight sets to reach the quarters at the Roland Garros without dropping a single set during the entire event.

The Spanish Legend defeated the world no. 70 Maximilian Marterer 6-3 6-2 7-6 (4) after playing rather good tennis especially in the first 2 sets.

The match

After a slow start (0-2), the world no.1 found his groove to win 8 of the following 9 games to conquer a strong 6-3 2-0 lead. That was enough for the Spaniard to cruise and also win the second set 6-2.

Surprisingly, Rafa’s focus went down a bit in the second set, and the seed no.1 had to face a 1-3 deficit before he made things even and then win the final set at the breaker.

Next vs. Schwartzman

Rafa will face the world no.12  Diego Schwartzman that has defeated Kevin Anderson after winning a huge 5 setter 1-6 2-6 7-5 7-6 (6) 6-2. The head to head is 5-0 for Rafa (12-1 in terms of sets).
