Simona Halep cruises in the Roland Garros 2nd round.
The world no.1 was opposed to the world no.72 Taylor Townsend, but the American could do just nothing against the Romanian. Simona made it clear that this would have been a quick work after she conquered a strong 4-0 lead in no time before winning the opener 6-3. In the second set, the Romanian won 5 consecutive games since the pair was on a 1-all scoreline to finally win the match 6-3 6-1 in just 68 minutes.

Simona will face the world no.107 Andrea Petkovic for a place in the 4th round. The head to head is 6-0 for the world no.1.
