Serena Williams becomes a superhero in Paris

Serena Williams is back to winning ways in Paris where she defeated Krystina Pliskova in straight sets 7-6 (4) 6-4. Serena didn’t seem to be in her best form, and she impressed for 1 specific thing: her attire.

The American was dressed in a quirky blackbody suit that was designed to avoid blood clots, but (of course) the former world no.1 made it a sort of fashion statement as she looked like Wakanda (the fictional hero of the Black Panther).

About being inspirational

Serena commented

“It feels like this suit represents all the women that have been through a lot mentally, physically, with their body to come back and have confidence and to believe in themselves. I definitely feel like it is an opportunity for me to inspire a whole different group of amazing women and kids.

I call it, like, my Wakanda-inspired catsuit [black panther]. We designed it way before the movie, but still, it kind of reminds me of that.

I’m always living in a fantasy world. I always wanted to be a superhero, and it’s kind of my way of being a superhero.”

Wakanda vs. Barty

Serena will face the world on.17  Ashleigh Barty in the 2nd round. The head to head is 1-0 for Serena. Let’s if our superhero can make it to the 3rd round.
