World no.68 Joao Sousa and world no.64 Frances Tiafoe are the finalists in Estoril.

Joao wins a fantastic semifinal against an upcoming Stefanos Tsitsipas to beat the Greek 6-4 1-6 7-6 (4) after playing with all his heart in front of the home crowd. The crucial moment was the start of the 3rd set tiebreak when the Portuguese conquered a decisive 4-0 lead. Then Joao got 4 consecutive match points, and he managed to convert the 3rd one.
“I think it was a great match,” commented Sousa. “The crowd was fantastic today. I feel great to win here.”
Joao has the chance of being the 1st Portuguese to win this home tournament.
Tiafoe
On the other side of the draw, Frances played a great semi-final against the defending champion Pablo Carreno Busta to defeat the Spaniard 6-2 6-3 in just 74 minutes.
Frances and Joao have never played each other so far.
