Tsitsipas, Cecchinato, Shapovalov at career high

There are no significant changes at the top of the rankings after the recent ATP500 event in Barcelona and the ATP250 in Budapest. In fact, the possible big news would have been Rafael Nadal losing his world no.1 in case he didn’t defend his title in Spain, but eventually Rafa didn’t fold to still lead Roger Federer of 100pts.

However, we had a couple of significant movements.

Tsitsipas

After a fantastic week in Barcelona, the 19-year-old reach the final in Barcelona to gain 300pts and go up 19 places to be the new world n.44 (career high and much more to go).

Cecchinato

The Italian won a quirky maiden title in Budapest as he triumphed after losing in the qualifications (but he got to the main draw as a lucky loser).

After winning the title in Budapest, Marco is 33 places up to be the new world no.59 (career high).

Shapovalov

Denis is having a rather miserable stint on clay (not his favorite surface) to crash in the opener in Budapest. However, he is still1 place up in the rankings to be the world no. 42 (career high).

Here the full rankings.
