What a week for Stefanos Tsitsipas!

The upcoming Greek reaches the Barcelona semifinal after beating the likes of Diego Schwartzman, Albert Ramos Vinolas, and now Dominic Thiem without conceding a single set. 

The match vs. Thiem

Stefanos didn’t start very well the match against the world no.7 to be only 1 point away from being 0-3. Eventually, the Greek found himself trailing on a 1-3 scoreline, but that was the end of his tribulation as he won the following 5 games to conquer the opener (6-3). 

The second set has a simar script with Tsitspas winning 5 consecutive games (again) to reverse a 1-2 deficit and conquer the match. The final result was 6-3 6-2.

After this win, Stefanos should back in the top50.

The semis vs. Carreno Busta

Stefanos will face home favorite and world no.11 Pablo Carreno Busta in the semifinal. They have never played each other so far.
