Why I was struggling with pressure. OSTAPENKO

Jelena Ostapenko surprised everyone when last year she won the Roland Garros coming from literally nowhere. Later in the year, she had also another couple of nice runs in Wimbledon (quarters), in Seoul (she won the title), in Wuhan (semis), and Beijing (semis).

However, the world no.5 didn’t have the best start of the season after she crashed out in the opener of 5 tournaments. Things got much better from Miami where she reached the final playing great tennis, and now she is in the quarters in Stuttgart after conceding just 3 games to Zarina Dyas.

Why I was struggling. OSTAPENKO

During the post-match interview, Jelena commented

“The beginning of the year was tough. I was a Top 10 player and almost every match I was the favorite but now I’m getting used to it. Since I made the final in Miami, I’m getting more confident and playing better.”

Time for another couple of nice runs?
