Nadal concedes 4 games to Garcia Lopez

Another day, another trash.

Rafael Nadal is absolutely unstoppable on clay to win his 40th consecutive set in Barcelona. This time the unlucky guy was the world no. 69 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez that was immediately subdued to find himself trailing on a 6-1 4-0 scoreline. Later Guillermo managed to win 3 consecutive games (4-3), but the world no.1 found his groove again to win the contest 6-1 6-3 in 79 minutes.

This record doesn’t matter. NADAL

Soon after the match, Rafa shrugged-off his incredible record (40 consecutive sets on clay) to comment

“This record doesn’t matter, but if I keep winning sets, it will mean that I keep winning matches. I don’t think I can win all the sets from here to Roland Garros.”

The quarters against Klizan

Rafa will face another left-handed in the quarters as he will take on the world no. 140 Martin Klizan. The head to head is 2-1 for the Spaniard that has always conceded at least a set to his upcoming opponent.
