Djokovic loses to world no.140 in Barcelona

Novak Djokovic is still struggling to find his form in his comeback.

The former world no.1 has an unflattering 5-5 win-loss record in 2018, and on Tuesday he had to bow out in his first match in Barcelona at the hands of the world no. 140 Martin Klizan.

The match

After a terrible start (1-5), Nole was trailing on a 1-set down deficit in no time. Eventually, the Serb found his way in the second set after he won 5 consecutive games (from 1-1 to 6-1) to bring the contest at the decider.

In the 3rd set, both players held their serve rarely conceding more than 1 point per game. However, it was Djokovic to blink in the 8th game to drop his service game and pave the road for Klizan’s win. The final score was 6-2 1-6 6-3.

Next step for Nole?
