From Italian stages to the spotlight with Matteo Berrettini
Italian dancer Vanessa Bellini stepped into the global sporting spotlight through her romance with tennis star Matteo Berrettini. Hailing from Novara in northern Italy, west of Milan, Bellini built a distinguished profile in the performing arts before their relationship drew widespread public attention.
Bellini honed her craft at the Academy of Excellence in Lucca, an institution where she has continued to work. She first reached prominent television audiences in 2022 during season 22 of the talent competition Amici di Maria De Filippi, which opened doors across the Italian entertainment industry.
High-profile performances and national recognition
Her television run quickly led to prominent commercial opportunities alongside major artists. Bellini has performed in backing ensembles for musical acts including Elodie, Rose Villain, and The Kolors on the historic Sanremo Music Festival stage.
Her artistic career also reached major international audiences when she took part in the closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
A summer connection and subsequent split
Bellini first crossed paths with Berrettini in June 2025 during rapper Marracash’s tour stop in Turin. While she was on stage dancing for the musician, the Rome-born former Wimbledon finalist was watching from the crowd.
Vanessa’s sister, Jessica Bellini, later recalled the spark of their initial encounter in an interview with DiPiùTv.
“It all started there, with an exchange of glances,” Jessica explained when discussing how the couple connected.
The duo confirmed their romance on social media in October 2025, and Bellini celebrated the tennis player’s 30th birthday the following April. However, following a private relationship that saw Bellini largely stay away from Berrettini’s tournament matches, the couple parted ways during the summer of 2026, marking the end of their chapter together.
