Why Kyrgios is a world-class player. ISNER

Nick Kyrgios is about to kick-start his campaign in Houston where he will face the world no.108 Bjorn Fratangelo in the opener.

Ranked no. 24, the Australian is keen on trying to understand how his body is reacting during the matches. After being out from the competitions for a couple of months, Nick didn’t look at his best against Zverev in the Miami 4th round. It’s time for him to test it again on the dirt in Houston.

Seeded no.1, John Isner has recently grabbed the headlines for triumphing in Miami. Even if the American is the hot favorite to win the title in Texas, he warns that Nick Kyrgios is one of the hot contenders.

During a recent interview, Isner commented

“He’s got a service motion that it won’t ever fail. It’s a perfect service motion. He’s just so talented. His backhand is world-class. His forehand is world-class. For him, everyone knows, he knows, it’s all between his ears.

If he wants to put it together, I think he can, and he has shown that. So hopefully he comes here in the right frame of mind and puts on a good show for everyone here in Houston.”

Kyrgios has won already a title this year (Brisbane). Time to double up?
