If you think that the actual Davis Cup is dead, think again!
Spain and Germany have engaged in a fantastic battle last weekend that ended with an epic win from David Ferrer that gave the semifinal to his team.
The events
After the first day, Spain and Germany were locked on a 1-1 scoreline after Nadal demolished Kohlschreiber (6-2 6-2 6-3) and Zverev breezed past Ferrer (6-4 6-2 6-2).
Things got extremely complicated for Spain after Feliciano, and Marc Lopez lost the doubles against Puetz and Struff 6-3 6-4 3-6 6-7 (4) 7-5.
Eventually, Sunday ended up in an epic after Rafa destroyed Zverev (6-1 6-4 6-4) and Ferrer won a 4 hours and 51 minutes marathon against Kohlschreiber 7-6 (1) 3-6 7-6 (4) 4-6 7-5.
Span will face France in the semifinal the 14-16th of September. Expect another great one.
