What went wrong in the Miami final. ZVEREV

Sascha Zverev was inches from winning his 3rd Master ATP1000 and be back to be the new world no.3, but this appointment had to be delayed after he lost to a great John Isner in the final in Miami.

Sascha didn’t manage to win the contest after he was one set up as he crucially dropped his serve in the 9th game of both the second and the third set. Finally, the American won 6-7 (4) 6-4 6-4.

What went wrong. ZVEREV

After the final, the German commented about what went wrong in the last match of this master to say

“I think I missed more shots today than I did the whole tournament. I played bad from the baseline. But, it’s not easy against John, because you always feel the pressure that if you get broken, you’re not going to win the set. That’s maybe a factor, but I had a lot of mistakes today that I didn’t do the whole week.

“But he played great. He played very well from the baseline, and he returned very well. Obviously, there’s his serve, but we don’t need to talk about the serve. I had a pretty good tactic and a game plan, which, if you just miss, it doesn’t matter. It was not about that. It was more about me not finding a rhythm.”

There is no time to sit down for Sascha that will now head to Spain to play the Davis Cup in clay. Rafael Nadal is waiting for him.
