Love for the sport is the secret of Federer. MCENROE

People say that if you like your work, in reality, you never work one day.

This is a concept that may apply to Roger Federer. In fact, according to tennis legend John McEnroe, this is the secret of Roger success.

From McEnroe

Talking about Roger’s love for the game and the difficulties in dealing with tough losses, the American commented

“What’s very difficult is to love the game so much, even when you’re sometimes losing. Federer doesn’t lose very much, but I have never seen a player love to be around tennis more than him.”

Then, John made a comparison with Nick Kyrgios saying that

“I don’t think Kyrgios likes to travel as much as Roger. He has a different personality, he doesn’t love the training part.

The part where he stops trying, he needs to eliminate.”

Roger has a strong 17-2 win-loss record in 2018, but he has decided once more to skip the entire clay court season to focus more on grass and the North American swing. He will lose his world no.1 rank this coming Monday after he crashed out in the Miami opener.
