Djokovic scores just 7 games with Paire

MIAMI. Bad news from Novak Djokovic as the Serb losses his 3rdconsecutive match of the season this time at the hands of the world no.47 Benoit Paire.

Nole was eager to get back to his form as he declared that for a couple of days in Miami he managed to play completely pain-free, something it wasn’t happening for the previous 2 years.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go that well with Nole losing in the opener in Florida 6-3 6-4.

I ran out of gas. DJOKOVIC

A crucial moment of the match was when Nole lost 5 consecutive games (from 3-1 to 3-6 0-1). The former world no.1 commented

“I felt I started the match well, first six games. Then I just ran out of gas. He was serving well. I just wasn’t able to break him down. He was just coming up with the good shots at the right time. It happened very fast.

That’s all it is. I mean, obviously, I’m not feeling great when I’m playing this way. Of course, I want to be able to play as well as I want to play. Just, it’s impossible at the moment. That’s all.”

Nole is now expected to get back to Monte Carlo where he will compete in the ATP1000 in April. Hoping for good.
