Roger Federer didn’t have a fantastic finale in Indian Wells where he stumbled at the last hurdle against Juan Martin Del Potro after he missed 3 championship points. As Roger said, “this will sting,” but life still goes on and what’s better than a tasty pizza?
Pizza time
After the final in the desert, Federer flew in Chicago to kick start the Laver Cup. The World no.1 had a volley session with Nick Kyrgios on Monday at 2 pm, and later he enjoyed a tasty pizza with some other “notable” friends such as Rod Laver, John McEnroe, and Nick.
First time in Chicago
Roger looked pretty pleased to be in the Windy City to comment
“I don’t want to say you always go to the same places, but when there’s not a tournament in town, it’s hard to go to sometimes unless you plan a vacation,” Federer said. “And usually when I come to America … I go to New York; I go to Indian Wells, I go to Miami, I go to Cincinnati.
And the next thing you know … you haven’t been in a few places you’ve actually wanted to go to. And Chicago’s definitely one of the places I’ve wanted to come to, and then let alone play as well, and so now this year I’ll get both, which I’m very excited.”
Next step: Miami… of course.
