Serena Williams is not at her best, and her older sister Venus take full advantage of the situation in their 3rd round clash at Indian Wells.
Venus played a rather good match against the younger sister to win 6-3 6-4. Venus was having a comfortable 6-3 5-2 lead when things got a bit complicated once Serena decided to roar back. The 23-slam titlist won the following 2 games (5-4), and Venus had to save a break point in the 10th game that would have made things really complicated for the 37-year-old. Eventually, Venus held her serve and conquer the contest after 85 minutes.
Venus will face Anastasija Sevastova for a place in the quarters. The head to head is 1-0 for the American.
