Denis Shapovalov and Stefanos Tsitsipas start their Indian Wells campaign in style with a straight-sets win.

Denis had no problems in dismissing the world no.106 Richard Berankis 6-3 6-4. The key moment in the first set was when the Canadian won the decisive break in the 6th game (4-2) before conquering the opener (6-3).
Denis broke Berankis also in the 3rd game of the second set (2-1), but he conceded his serve soon after (2-2). The pair went toe to toe till the 9th game after the Lithuanian lost his serve at love (5-4). Shapovalov won the contest 6-3 6-4.
Denis will face Pablo Cuevas in the 2nd round. They have never played each other so far.
Tsitsipas
Ranked no. 71, Stefanos is getting better and better. The Greek had a good win against the world no.88 Radu Albot. Tsitsipas broke his opponent in the very first game (1-0) to concede is serve in the 4th (2-2). Eventually, the opener went to the breaker that the Greek won at 2.
In the second set, both players conceded their serves in the first 2 games at love, but it was Tsitsipas to stay solid for the rest of the match before winning the contest 7-6 (2) 6-2.
Stefanos will face Dominic Thiem in the 2nd round. The head to head is 1-0 for the Austrian, but Tsitsipas has the tennis to win his first top10 scalp.
