Tsurenko defends her title in Acapulco

Lesya Tsurenko did it again!

The Ukrainian wasn’t among the titles in Acapulco, but eventually she managed to surprise again after defending her title against Stefanie Voegele ranked no.183.

The final was full of ups and downs with Lesya close to defeat when she was 5-7 2-4 down. Eventually, the world no.40 managed to win the 2nd set to bring the affair to the decider. Tsurenko had a fantastic start in the 3rd set to grab a decisive 3-0 lead before winning the contest 5-7 7-6 (2) 6-2.

It was amazing

This is Tsurenko’s 4th career title, the second in Acapulco. That’s a lucky place for her.
