Federer, Nadal are not normal. It will take time for Djokovic to come back. BECKER

Boris Becker has been in Novak Djokovic’s camp for 3 years, they have won 24 titles together (6 slams), and he knows very well what’s going on with the Serbian.

Nole has taken a long break from tennis after withdrawing last year from Wimbledon because of his elbow problems. Unfortunately, Djokovic didn’t have a great comeback to lose in straight sets in the Australian Open 4th round at the hands of Hyeon Chung.

Later on, in February, he had a small operation to his elbow, and he is now trying to get back to the pro circuit in Indian Wells.

According to Boris, it will take time for Nole to get back in style to comment

“Rafa and Federer have set examples of coming back, but they are not normal. Usually, it takes time.”

“Mentally is going to be the biggest challenge [for Djokovic to come back]. How much you accept to do the dirty work like Monday morning practice, the first and second round of tournaments you are expected to win, and it is hot and windy conditions.

Usually, they say the amount of time you have been away takes you the same amount to come back to your previous level, and I hope that is not the case for Djokovic because that would mean the end of the year.”

Djokovic will definitely compete in Miami and he is trying to be back earlier in Indian Wells.
