SUPERSTAR Federer beats Barcelona and Valentino Rossi to win his 5th career Laureus Award

If you think that in 2018 Roger Federer could not match the success he had in 2017, think again.

The Swiss Legend has won back to back the Australian Open and the ATP500 in Rotterdam to also be back as the new and deserving world no.1

Roger has, even more, to smile now after he conquered his 5th Laureus Award in Monaco; Roger won the Comeback of the Year after his amazing 2017. He managed to beat the likes of Valentino Rossi and the FC Barcelona that had a chance to win the award after his incredible 6-1 comeback win against PSG last year in the Champion League after they lost the first leg 4-0.

Roger the Superstar

Federer was at the center of the attention also for some funny videos and his always nice attitude. The world no.1 commented

“I didn’t believe I was ever going to come back to this level. I hoped to be happy and healthy, just playing tennis again, and then to have the year I had last year was just something else.

I’d just like to thank all the people that got me back, got me through the operation, waking up not knowing if I could ever run again properly.

I should thank all those people who got me back up on my legs running again.

I need 1 month for my forehand, 1 for

“My fitness coach who got me working hard again and told me I needed six months off.

Two months off first and then later six months off. I thought he was joking when he told me I needed that much time off. “Coach told me “we need another month for the forehand, another month for the backhand, another month for the drop shot, another month for the smash.

It became a running joke on my team. It was worth taking time off and come back stronger that one more time. Last year was a dream come true.”

Federer will now fly to San Jose where he will play an event for Charity.

It’s not a bad life.
