Halep to be back to no.1. Kvitova back in top10

After a fantastic edition of the Qatar Total Open in Doha, we have some movements in the rankings.

Halep

Simona is still world no.2, and she failed to regain the top of the rankings soon after last week because she retired from the semifinal against Garbine Muguruza (foot injury). Still, since she didn’t have any point to defend from last year, she is only 45pts away from the world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki.

Simona will be world no.1 after next week as both the Romanian and the Dane will not compete in Dubai. Halep will be back at the top because Caroline will not be able to defend the 305 points that she gained last year after reaching the final in the Emirates.

Kvitova

Petra has won a fantastic title in Doha to gain 11 positions and be back straight in the top10. More to come.

Muguruza

After reaching the final in Dubai, Garbine is back to world no.3.

Here the rankings.
